The Vancouver Canucks are gearing up for their annual mom's trip, with Brock Boeser expected to travel with the team after suffering a concussion delivered by Bryan Rust of the Pittsburgh Penguins from a nasty elbow.
Boeser is unlikely to play before the Olympic break but it's positive that he is at least joining the team on their trip.
"Rust's hearing with the Department of Player Safety wrapped not long ago and it didn't take former NHLer George Parros and his team very long to come up with their decision on if any supplemental discipline will be needed. In a social media post, NHL Player Safety announced that Bryan Rust has been suspended for three games for his hit on Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser."-Jaxon
Brock Boeser inches closer to return.
Jeff Paterson posted on X the news of Boeser, while it is highly unlikely he plays, it's good news that he is healthy enough to travel. It was an unfortunate situation for Boeser, who received the elbow from Rust in the last minute of the game, on a nothing play in front of the net.
Adam Foote says Brock Boeser will go on road trip (Mom’s trip), but he says Boeser is a long shot to play again before the break
Boeser has had the worst season of his career so far, it doesn't help it's also the worst roster he has played with in his pro career. And to top it off he lost his long time teammate and best friend Quinn Hughes a he was traded to the Minnesota Wild. It's also not his first injury of the season, and it seems he won't be finding ay rhythm at this point. Boeser has expressed how challenging this year has been, and hopefully he ends the year healthy, and on a high note if he can find some consistent form.
