Vancouver Canucks Ex-Coach Bruce Boudreau Claims GM Patrik Allvin Threatened Him with Firing for Absurd Reason
Former Vancouver Canucks head coach Bruce Boudreau went on the most recent episode of the popular hockey podcast Spittin Chiclets and revealed he was almost fired for an absurd reason.
After an esteemed 15 year NHL coaching career, two of which with the Vancouver Canucks, Bruce Boudreau has an incredible amount of stories to divulge to the hockey community.
One story of which highlighted the time his contract was almost terminated for making funny videos to Canucks fans.

Cameo is a social media platform where celebrities and athletes can make custom made, short videos to send to fans for a fee.
During his tenure with the Vancouver Canucks, Bruce Boudreau was a advocate of the platform, but clearly, Canucks management was not a fan of his involvement.
Boudreau revealed on the Spittin; Chiclets Podcast that the Canucks threatened him with a firing if he did not stop interacting with fans.
«Patrik Allvin comes in and he says 'and by the way, you can't do anymore cameos. You do them you're gonna get fired'», said Boudreau on the podcast. «To me it was an innocent thing, I never said bad things about anybody.»
It seems a bit drastic of a decsion as the video he was making for fans were harmless, but down right hilarious.
Most of the requests that Boudreau would have received to make are birthdays or celebrating life achievements
Boudreau is known for having an electric and a larger than life personality, which these 'Cameos' highlighted.
«I remember when I was in [Vancouver], I'd get them once a week or something, and I wouldn't get a lot of them,» explained Boudreau about the videos on the latest episode of the Spittin' Chiclets podcast.
Unfortunately, he was forced to stop bridging the gap between the fans and their favorite sports team.
«To me, it was such an innocent thing; I never said bad things about anyone, I didn't use the F-bomb ever.»
