Vancouver Canucks Forward Conor Garland Rushed to Hospital After Matchup with New York Rangers
Vancouver Canucks forward Conor Garland headed to the hospital following last night's game as him and his wife are expecting the birth of their first child.
Tuesday was quite a busy day for Vancouver Canucks forward Conor Garland with a game against the New York Rangers, as well as him and his wife having a baby on the way.
It was unclear if Conor Garland was going to suit up for the Vancouver Canucks last night amid 'baby watch', but he ended up playing and played a key role, scoring in the second period to tie the game at 2-2.
After the game, Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet said that Conor Garland was their best player in the loss to the Rangers.
"He's gonna probably have a baby here soon. Was up at 3 in the morning. Was up again at 7. No sleep, and he was our best player. What can you say? You love the kid." Tocchet said.

As soon as the game was over, Conor Garland left Rogers Arena and headed straight to the hospital to be with his wife, Meghan, according to Noah Strang of Daily Hive.
"Garland spent much of the day with her and it was questionable whether he would suit up for the contest. He managed to play in the game before rushing back to the hospital right after the final whistle." Strang said.
Garland has had a pretty good season for the Vancouver Canucks, at times playing a bigger role, including in the top-six, as he did on Tuesday night.
In 18 games with the Canucks in the 2024-25 campaign, the Scituate, Massachusetts native has 14 points (five goals, nine assists), 11 penalty minutes and is a plus-three.
Everyone here at Canucks Daily would like to send their best wishes to Conor Garland and his wife, Meghan.
