Vancouver Canucks Head Coach Adam Foote gave an encouraging update last night after forward Brock Boeser was forced to leave Thursday's game with an injury.

The Vancouver Canucks kicked off their short three-game road trip on Thursday night against a familiar face, Pius Suter and the St. Louis Blues, less than three weeks after the two teams met at Rogers Arena for a Thanksgiving matinee.
After falling 5-2 back on Thanksgiving, the Vancouver Canucks were hoping to repay the favour in St. Louis and they did exactly that, thanks to a hat trick from Pius Suter and Kevin Lankinen stopping every shot he faced in the shootout, however, Adam Foote's squad lost yet another key player early on in the game.
Less than a minute into the game, Canucks forward Brock Boeser took a shot to the midsection from 21-year-old defenseman Elias Pettersson, which caused him to fall to the ice in pain and was unable to return, as announced by the club on social media.
"Forward Brock Boeser will not return to tonight's game." the Canucks said.

After Boeser left Thursday's game, Vancouver's injury list jumped to nine skaters - half of what makes up a National Hockey League roster every single night.
"Updated Canucks injury list:

- Quinn Hughes
- Brock Boeser
- Filip Chytil
- Conor Garland
- Nils Hoglander
- Derek Forbort
- Victor Mancini
- Teddy Blueger
- Jonathan Lekkerimaki

At what point do you just throw in the towel?" Big Head Hockey said.
At the time of his injury, it was unclear whether or not Boeser would be out for an extended period of time, which led some to wonder what the team will do next because there isn't any other extra healthy forwards on the trip, as Jeff Paterson reports, meaning Patrik Allvin would have to dip down again to an already depleted Abbotsford squad.
"#Canucks have no extra healthy forwards on this trip. If Boeser is out, may have to call someone up from Abbotsford. And it's getting to the point that I mean just some random guy off the streets of Abbotsford, no one left down on the farm team" Paterson said on X.
Vancouver Canucks fans collectively held their breath waiting for an update from Head Coach Adam Foote and thankfully, it was good news regarding the former 40-goal scorer.
According to Adam Foote, the Burnsville, Minnesota native should be able to suit up on Saturday night in his home state as the Canucks take on the Minnesota Wild.
"i can't even tell ya what happened to him, but i think he should be back next game." Foote said according to Mike Halford of Halford & Brough.
It's great to hear that Boeser should be back in the lineup on Saturday as the Canucks, who are already without guys like Conor Garland, Filip Chytil, Quinn Hughes, desperately need some help in the goal scoring department and the 28-year-old can certainly give them that boost they're seeking.
