The Vancouver Canucks have learned what they could potentially receive in return for Latvian centerman Teddy Blueger leading up to the March 6th trade deadline.

Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin has a lot to think about over the next six weeks with the trade deadline looming and as the club proceeds with their rebuilding plans, some tough decisions are on the horizon.
Priority number one for the Vancouver Canucks is to find landing spots for their pending unrestricted free agents and with Kiefer Sherwood now with the San Jose Sharks, Evander Kane, David Kampf and Teddy Blueger are the next three that are likely on their way out of town over the next 35 days.
"According to several sources, the Vancouver Canucks have let it be known that - in an effort to get younger - they are willing to listen to offers on 'veteran players.'" Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman said back in November.

Since returning from injury, the Riga, Latvia native has played very well for Adam Foote and his coaching staff, registering three goals, 12 shots and has a 49.3 faceoff percentage in five games.
With several contending teams and those in the mix for a playoff spot currently looking to beef up down the middle, Teddy Blueger could be a very attractive piece for many and in a recent article for Canucks Army, David Quadrelli examined what Patrik Allvin could get for the centerman.
According to Quadrelli, the Vancouver Canucks could get a mid-round pick for Teddy Blueger before the deadline, potentially a fourth rounder, but almost certainly a fifth round pick.
"Can the Canucks get a warm body and a third round pick for Blueger at this deadline as the Penguins did in 2023? Maybe not. But can they get a fourth, and at the very least, a fifth round pick from a playoff team that’s looking to improve their centre depth? It’s hard to believe that’s not going to be possible." Quadrelli said.

Finding a landing spot for Teddy Blueger shouldn't be too tough of a task for Patrik Allvin and the Vancouver Canucks, but it will be interesting to see when a deal will be completed involving the 31-year-old.
With Teddy Blueger off to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano-Cortina, Italy late next week, the Vancouver Canucks might want to speed up the process just in case he gets injured while playing with Latvia and is then untradable upon returning from the Games.
