Vancouver Canucks make big change between the crease for tonight's game vs Los Angeles Kings
The Vancouver Canucks' projected lineup and starting goaltender have been announced for Saturday night's game against the Los Angeles Kings.
After starting off their road trip on the right foot against the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday night, the Vancouver Canucks were back in action on Friday afternoon against the San Jose Sharks and unfortunately for Adam Foote's group, they weren't able to get the two points and have now failed to win back-to-back games for the first time since mid-October.
However the Canucks will need to put yesterday's loss in the rearview mirror quickly as they're set to hit the ice tonight against the Los Angeles Kings for the third of four games on this current road trip and will be doing so with some reinforcements between the pipes as Patrik Allvin announced a roster move sending Jiri Patera back to the AHL and the return of Kevin Lankinen after being away for personal reasons.
"Been told, not to rule out Kevin Lankinen in goal for the Canucks tonight." Rick Dhaliwal said on X.

Along with sending Jiri Patera to the American Hockey League to accommodate Kevin Lankinen's return, the Vancouver Canucks also announced that 2022 first rounder Jonathan Lekkerimaki has been called up following a solid stint in Abbotsford, registering five points in five games.
"General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that G Jiri Patera has been assigned to Abbotsford (AHL) and F Jonathan Lekkerimäki has been recalled from Abbotsford (AHL)." the Canucks said.
What does that mean for the Canucks' lineup tonight? We'll it's safe to assume that Patrik Allvin didn't call Jonathan Lekkerimaki up just to sit in the press box, so look for him to draw into the lineup for Vancouver for the first time since suffering an injury against the Washington Capitals on October 19th.
Things to note from pre-game media with Adam Foote today:
1. Aatu Räty in, Lukas Reichel out.
2. Garland out, Lekkerimäki in.
3. #25 Pettersson is out, PO is in.
4. Lankinen in, says he's feeling good.
