The Vancouver Canucks are coming off another disappointing loss at the hands of the 6-10-3 Nashville Predators.
Cleary, head coach Rick Tocchet is looking to make some major changes in the lineup as the team is not performing the way he wants it, but the hand the team has been dealt will make it a difficult task.
With the big news this morning announced by Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin, the team will be without J.T. Miller for the foreseeable future and he has decided to take a leave of absence for personal reasons.
It has not been disclosed what has made him step away from the team, but all the fans are standing behind him.
With Brock Boeser still out with an injury, and J.T. Miller stepping away, the team has limited options on they want to shuffle the lines.
As a result, Patrik Allvin announced that they recalled forward Arshdeep Bains and have assigned defenseman Elias Pettersson back to down with the AHL Abbotsford Canucks.
Forwards
Jake DeBrusk - Elias Pettersson - Kiefer Sherwood
Dakota Joshua - Pius Suter - Conor Garland
Danton Heinen - Teddy Blueger - Jonathan Lekkerimaki
Arshdeep Bains - Aatu Raty - Nils Hoglander
Defense
Quinn Hughes - Filip Hronek
Carson Soucy - Tyler Myers
Erik Brannstrom - Noah Juulsen
Goalies
Arturs Silovs
Kevin Lankinen
The one caveat is that it was announced Conor Garland will be considered a game time decision as he and his wife are expecting to welcome their first baby this evening
The Canucks hope to get back in the win column this evening, and head coach Rick Tocchet believes that with these lien changes, it gives them the best chance considering the players he has to work with.
