Brock Boeser is having a pretty down here to say the least, one of his best friends Quinn Hughes was traded to the Minnesota Wild, and his struggles with the Vancouver Canucks continue this season, he is on track to have his worst season of his career.
"He was one of my few teammates that came to my dad's funeral, and I think that kind of proved everything to me - the person he is and how he was raised by his parents," Boeser says. "That meant a lot to me. He just has a good heart, and he cares about people, and he cares about hockey, and that's just who he is."-Boeser
Brock Boeser opens up about struggles this season with the Vancouver Canucks.
Jeff Paterson of Canucks Army reported on the lack of confidence Boeser has due to unfortunate events of this season surrounding the Canucks, he's had injury problems, his teammates have had tons of injuries so building chemistry has been hard, and his captain was traded.
"It's been tough - my confidence has been pretty low. We talk about these slumps and the only way out of it is hard work and trusting the process.»-Boeser
Boeser was a 40 goal scorer only two seasons ago, and now he hasn't scored a goal in 14 games, and has only registered one assist in those games as well. After signing a lengthy seven year deal, Boeser is going to find himself in limbo for some while, if he and the team do not pick it up.
"I feel like I've still had a lot of chances, I just haven't put the puck in the net. That's on me. I have to find ways to bear down and find a way to put the puck in the net. It's definitely been hard to stay positive, but it comes down to the work. And I think when you put the work in, you'll get bounces"-Boeser
It's been a tough year for Boeser in many ways, hopefully he finds a way out of this slump and starts to build the team back up again with the younger core coming in.
