Vancouver Canucks Starting Goalie and Lines Revealed For Divisional Matchup vs Edmonton Oilers
The Vancouver Canucks' projected lineup, as well as their starting goaltender, has been revealed for Sunday night's game at Rogers Arena against the Edmonton Oilers.
After a 3-2-0 road trip, the Vancouver Canucks returned home on Saturday for an all-Canadian clash with the Montreal Canadiens on Hockey Night in Canada, with Patrik Allvin announcing a roster move just hours before puck drop as Tom Willander was sent down to the AHL and Victor Mancini was called up.
Mancini didn't feature in last night's game, much to the dismay of the Vancouver Canucks faithful, and unfortunately for Adam Foote's group, they were unable to contain one of the best young stars in the game, Ivan Demidov, who finished the game with one goal and two assists, helping Montreal to a 4-3 win.
The Canucks will have to put that tough loss in the rearview mirror quickly as they're back in action on Sunday night against their archrivals - Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers, who are coming off a loss of their own yesterday as they visited the Seattle Kraken.
Vancouver Canucks' projected lineup and starting goaltender revealed for Sunday's game
Ahead of tonight's game, the Vancouver Canucks announced a roster move, calling up defenseman Kirill Kudryavtsev from Abbotsford and sending down forward Joseph LaBate, who appeared in one game during his brief stint with the big club.
"General Manager Patrick Allvin announced today that F Joseph LaBate has been assigned to Abbotsford (AHL) and D Kirill Kudryavtsev has been recalled from Abbotsford (AHL)." the Canucks said.
While it's unclear if Kudryavtsev will draw in tonight, NHL.com revealed their projected lineup and starting goaltenders for Sunday's contest between Edmonton and Vancouver, with Thatcher Demko expected to get the start after Kevin Lankinen played last night versus Montreal.
