BREAKING | Canucks make a controversial decision with the 105th overall pick
The Vancouver Canucks have made an interesting and frankly weird decision with the 105th overall pick in the fourth round.
With that selection, Allvin and the Canucks took 20-year-old centerman Ty Mueller, who has played the last two seasons in the NCAA with the University of Omaha-Nebraska.
Mueller, who is a native of Cochrane, Alberta, was a double overager for this draft after being passed over in both 2021 and 2022, which makes this selection even more confusing.
Despite being a .73 points-per-game player, he didn't necessarily dominate in the NCAA like you'd expect for someone in their age 19/20 year. In 34 games, he had 25 points (12 goals, 13 assists), four penalty minutes and was a plus-nine.
