BREAKING | Devils' forward signs massive $63M Extension
The Devils have a young and upcoming core. Today they inked one of their tops forward to a massive deal. The Devils inked their star centerman Jack Hughes to a massive deal earlier this season, and now they've just announced another major signing.
Jesper Bratt, a late 2016 draft pick, blossomed handsomely in New Jersey as he's becoming one of the most lethal offensive forward in the NHL.
'Hearing the Devils and pending RFA Jesper Bratt have agreed to an 8-year, $63-million contract carrying a $7.875 million AAV per season.''
The author of back-to-back 73 points season will be in New Jersey for the 8 years, joining a group made of Nico Hischier and Jack Hughes. The next contract on their list will be Timo Meier's.
A core made out of Jack Hughes, Nico Hischier, Jesper Bratt and Timo Meier sure is really dangerous. Could it be compared to the Leafs' core? Keep in mind that the highest-paid player is Jack Hughes, whose AAV is $8M. Are the Devils the next dynasty in the making?
