BREAKING | Major development regarding the 2018 Team Canada Scandal: Another player granted leave of absence
It appears as though this story will finally see an end. The news broke this morning that 5 players had been ask to report to the police as a result of the investigation that is nearing an end.
PLAYERS TAKING LEAVE OF ABSENCE
NHLers Dillon Dube and Carter Hart have made the round on the internet the past few days since it's been announced from their respective teams that they would be taking indefinite leave of absence.
Frank Seravalli just broke the news that the former NHLer Alex Formenton had been asked to return to the country:
#GoSensGo reserve list player Alex Formenton is returning to Canada, according to Swiss club HC Ambri-Piotta, and has been granted an indefinite leave of absence from the team.
Formenton was a member of the 2018 Team Canada WJC team and has not played in the #NHL since 2022.
Flyers' GM Danny Briere already met the media stating that all matters regarding the investigation should be handled directly by the league, as per their own recommendations. Nor the teams or the players will be commenting on the subject.
