BREAKING: Terrible news for the Canadiens' superstar
The Montreal Canadiens drafted Cole Caufield with 15th overall pick in the 2019 Draft and since then, he's turned out to be a steal.
The 5'7'' winger has been an absolute stand out since he came from the collegiate levels. After winning the Hobey-Baker as the best player at the collegiate level he then came to the NHL and helped the Canadiens pave their way to the Stanley Cup Finals.
Terrible news fell on the Canadiens this morning since they've just announced that the forward was done for the remainder of the season and that he will undergo a shoulder surgery.
Caufield had been one of the most prolific scorer in the NHL since Marty St. Louis took over the Canadiens bench as the head coach. This season he had managed 26 goals and 36 points after only 46 games. Since he entered the NHL, Caufield found the back of the net 53 times in 123 outings.
