Kevin Bieksa is a renowned Canucks alumni due to everything he has accomplished with the franchise. He now shares the experience he's gained over the years as an analyst for Sportsnet.

Bieksa was not silent on the recent coaching change in Vancouver and even though he despises the way the organization proceeded with it, he stated that when he lived that same experience it really changed the culture in the locker room.

The team then went from Marc Crawford to Alain Vigneault. Here's what the alumni had to say :

"The job of him in his opinion, was to break everybody down. Then you start to rebuild, you see what you pieces you can build with moving forward. So a lot of those guys, that are veteran guys that may think they're untouchable that doesn't happen when a new coach comes in. It's all clean slate for everybody, the guys that can take the criticism and be a part of the solution stay there. Otherwise it's a regime coming in."

Tocchet will be taking over and try to build new foundations on this team. In the press conference they held this afternoon, they stated that they wanted to build for the long-term and that they weren't aiming for immediate rewards.

Even though the team has not had the success they had hoped for, Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes have taken another step into the right direction to take over the team's leadership. When Thatcher Demko comes back to his usual self, can the coaching staff piece it together and start building a team that can compete?
