We've heard former NHL defenseman Marc Methot's opinion on the skills competition saying:
There was also Anaheim Ducks Trevor Zegras posting a sleeping emoji. Then, NHL hall of famer Dominik Hasek would absolutely lose it after Ovechkin's son Sergei Ovechkin would join them for a shootout on Panthers' legend Roberto Luongo.
Lu would obviously let Ovi's son score on him which after Hasek would write on social media:
Hasek has been criticizing the NHL for not suspending Russian players over the war going on between Russia and Ukraine to which Ovechkin has been supportive of Russian president Vladimir Putin, and Ovechkin continues to avoid commenting on the Russian invasion.
Hasek voiced his opinion about the ongoing political issue between Russia and Ukraine. Though is it really the NHL's business? Should they get involved, I haven't seen any player stating they supported or agreed with the current political issues relating to their countries.
