According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, former Vancouver Canucks head coach Travis Green has a new gig lined up.

In a tweet on Monday, Friedman revealed that Green is set to join the New Jersey Devils as an assistant coach. He added that there was also interest from the Calgary Flames and Toronto Maple Leafs.
"There is word Travis Green will join New Jersey's staff in the position vacated by Andrew Brunette. Green had several options — believed to include Calgary and Toronto, and chose the Devils." Friedman said.

Green, 52, was fired by the Canucks during the 2021-22 season, which was his fifth behind the bench in Vancouver. He only guided the Canucks to one Stanley Cup Playoff appearance which came in 2020, as lost to the Vegas Golden Knights in seven games during in the second round.
The Creston, British Columbia native coached 314 games for the Canucks and amassed a record of 133-147-34. His 133 wins has him in fifth-place on the Canucks' all-time coaching wins list, only behind the legendary Pat Quinn, along with Harry Neale, Marc Crawford and Alain Vigneault.
