LATEST | Head Coach goes nuts and physically attacks former NHLer on the team's bench
The 2023 Spengler Cup wrapped up on Sunday in Switzerland as the hosts HC Davos took on HC Dynamo Pardubice.
Despite HC Davos' lead after the first period, their head coach Josh Holden was not happy with former NHLer Tomas Jurco and when Jurco returned to the bench, Holden grabbed and yanked at his jersey quite aggressively.
"This is unacceptable behaviour from Josh Holden, who twice grabs and yanks Tomas Jurco during the Spengler Cup."
If the name Josh Holden rings a bell, that's because he was once a top prospect of the Vancouver Canucks, who drafted him 12th overall in 1996 and went on to spent parts of three seasons with them.
HC Davos went on to win the game by a score of 5-3, capturing their 16th Spengler Cup.
It's unclear if Josh Holden will face any discipline, internally by HC Davos or by the Swiss National League, but that'll be the last game he'll have to coach Tomas Jurco, who's heading to the KHL for the remainder of the season.
Do you think Josh Holden should face some sort of discipline for the incident with Tomas Jurco? Let us know what you think in the poll below!
