LATEST | Horvat expands on his comments from Saturday night
Following Saturday night's win over the Philadelphia Flyers, where he assisted on two of his team's four goals, former Canucks captain Bo Horvat had some interesting comments about the city of Vancouver.
"It's a lot better than Vancouver, I'll tell you that for free." Horvat said.
On Monday morning following the Islanders' game day skate, Horvat was asked about his comments and he expanded on them, saying he didn't mean to disrespect Vancouver or their fans.
"It might have come out the wrong way...I'm just excited to be in this position right now (making a playoff push.)" He said.
Horvat and the Islanders are currently holding onto the second wild card spot in the Eastern Conference and it's understandable, to a point, to see his emotions get the most of him after a big home win in a playoff push.
The Islanders have two games remaining in the regular season as they take on Washington tonight and Montreal on Wednesday night.
