ESTABLISHING NEW CAREER HIGHS
Hoglander has been a menace this season as displayed by his 14 five on five goals, which leads the Canucks thus far. The 14 goals he's tallied now marks a career high and puts him on pace for 26 goals, while averaging 11 minutes and limited opportunities on the man advantage.
The young Swede now has 20 points through 44 games and only 7 short of the 27 he had in his rookie season.
HEADACHES FOR THE CANUCKS' MANAGEMENT?
Viewed as one of the Canucks most valuable trade pieces due to his offensive skills, production and ceiling, Rutherford and Allvin shouldn't too keen with the idea of trading away. Signed until 2025 at a very low $1.1M cap hit, he's one of the most effective contract on the team and god knows the Canucks need these if they plan on going all the way.
As the Canucks aim to acquire another top six forward, the cost will most likely need to include a youngster ready or close to NHL level, will it be Hoglander? Could it be Podkolzin?
