The Canucks have been heavily involved in trade talks since they moved their captain earlier this week and since they've started their fire sale it won't be stopping anytime soon.

The Canucks are set with contracts on the left side of their defense with Oliver Ekman-Larson and Quinn Hughes. A young defenseman who's been tearing it up in the AHL, Jack Rathbone, has admitted his frustration about playing at the lower levels and not getting an opportunity except for when either one of the left defenseman got injured.
An interesting statement that came from Dhaliwal pushes us to believe that Rathbone may be sent elsewhere in order to have a better opportunity:
"According to Dhaliwal, there's some interest in Jack Rathbone ahead of the trade deadline. Paraphrasing: Canucks are open to it."

Dhaliwal than added to the tweet:
"He is currently injured and wont be back till after the all-star break.
Get the feeling if the Canucks are not going to use him at the NHL level - they would be open to moving him to a team that would give him a better chance to play in the NHL."

Rathbone has developed into a good puck moving defenseman, he's shown decent numbers at the AHL level. For his future, would the Canucks do right by him if they sent him elsewhere? What do you think would be a decent return for him?
