LATEST | The top European Free Agent has been identified and the Canucks could be coming up big again
The Canucks made a heck of a steal when they signed the up and coming superstar Andrei Kuzmenko.
They won a derby that has paid off quite well this year, but will be paying off it's dividend for two more years as the Canucks inked him earlier in the season to an $11M deal for the following two years.
Can the Canucks strike big again?
This year's top unsigned European as been identified and the question now is whether or not the Canucks can get it done twice.
Hardy Haman Aktell, a 6'4'' and 200 pounds defenseman. Left-Handed shot who currently sits 3rd among all defensemen in the SHL with 36 points in 51 games.
«He can skate, move the puck and plays an aggressive, physical game,»
He was originally drafted by the Predators in 2016a draft 4th Round. However they no longer hold his rights as he developed on the late.
The different see him as a shutdown defender once he reaches the NHL. Though his offensive prowess in the SHL leads us to believe that he could very well be a successful two-way defender even at the game's highest level. Should the NHL make a run for him?
