MAJOR | Twenty-one-year-old junior hockey player tragically passes away
The Nipawin Hawks, a Junior A team performing in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, made a heartbreaking announcement earlier. The team issued a statement that a former player of theirs had suddenly passed away.
' The Nipawin Jr "A" Hawks family mourns the heartbreaking passing of Brady Grasdal who's tragically ended too soon.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and many teammates at this time.
May you rest in peace Brady.''
The obituary reported that the young man had tragically taken his own life:
'The devastating incident occurred when Grasdal reportedly took his own life by jumping from the fourth storey of a hotel in Bavaria. As the community mourns the loss of this young individual, it is important to reflect on the impact he had on those around him and raise awareness about the challenges many young people face today.''
During these tough times, we wish to send our sincerest condolences to his mourning family and friend.
Know that if you ever feel like endangering yourselves, resources are available to you.
