Nils Aman was sent down a few weeks ago to grow his game furthermore. In the AHL, he renewed with Swede forwards Nils Hoglander and Linus Karlsson. They've been so successful that they've even acquired a new name for themselves.
Aman has 5 points in 6 games since being sent down, Nils Hoglander has 5 in 8 and Karlsson leads all AHL rookies with 27 points. Abbotsford has been having a lot of success lately and the energy transpires in the locker room as well and it clearly shows in the most recent interview Vasily Podkolzin gave:
Vasily Podkolzin seemed like he's found his pace in Abby as well, he now has 11 points in 17 games. The athmosphere seems to be on a different level down in the AHL and it's certainly a change of pace from what we've been witnessing in Vancouver. Hopefully this positive attitude transfers up to the NHL.
