Last night just before puck drop Canucks Twitter was abuzz about a statement thrown out by former Canucks' Employee Rachel Doerrie.
You'll remember Doerrie was suddenly & inexplicably let go just prior to the beginning of this season after rumours of leaked injuries, namely the
Ilya Mikheyev lower body injury to Frank Serevalli of Daily FaceOff. Word has it there are legal matters happening behind the curtain related to the termination, but until any of that is public we have statements like this to chew on.
Some felt it was a shot at Bruce & his staff, while others took to their own accounts to throw shade at Doerrie who, to her credit, met it head on.
What was interesting however, and noted, was that Doerrie chose to limit commenting & therefore no direct thread of replies are present. That didn't stop one member off Canuck Nation to have his take heard.
That was met with a lot of mixed replies, ranging from agreement to questioning why someone can't say something nice about someone else, which is what is in dispute here in the first place.
Was this a slight on an Organization that may or may not be in litigation with their former employee? It will remain to be seen. What is clear is that Doerrie herself has not yet forgotten about the Canucks & while working mainly in Toronto chose last night to make her latest statement.
