The Vancouver Canucks made long awaiting letting go of Boudreau yesterday and they announced the hiring of Rick Tocchet simultaneously.

The Canucks management group, mainly Jim Rutherford, have been taking a lot of heat for the way they treated the situation and for the long period of time on which it dragged. Frank Seravalli revealed crucial information while he was on the Daily Faceoff Podacasy earlier today:

"I have it on really good authority, crystal clear, impeccable sourcing that they wanted to make this coaching change months ago and weren't given the green light (by ownership)"

Now obviously Rutherford and Allvin have their fair share of blame to take in this one, though they're still not the one taking the check book out. Ownership seems to always have the last say and perhaps it will forever tarnish Rutherford and Allvin's reputation.

The management and ownership groups have been taking their fair share of heat and it'll keep on pouring. The medias, former players, the fans, everyone is taking their turns.

A hashtag has been trending mainly on Twitter #fireTocchet, perhaps Rick Tocchet should be given a fair chance at gaining the market's confidence. Yes the management group failed everyone in a major way, though Tocchet took a job offer just like anybody would've done. It's hard to see Bruce go, but neither men should suffer from their superiors choices, don't you agree?
