The Los Angeles Kings have retooled quite nicely around Anze Kopitar and Drew Doughty. Though they are about the announce a trade that will definitely end an era in LA.
The trade market has been quite active today and the Kings have not yet said their piece. Multiple source from Frank Seravalli to Elliotte Friedman have not only confirmed the interest of the Kings for Joonas Korpisalo and Vladislav Gavrikov, but also confirmed that current netminder and Kings' two time Stanley Cup Jonathan Quick would be going the other way.
The asking price for Gavrikov was originally set for a 1st and a 3rd Round Selection. Kings were originally believed to be in on Jakob Chychrun but the salary cap prevented a full agreement and the Kings have turned to Columbus and turn a page in their history along the way.
Jonathan Quick was initially drafted by the Kings in 2003 and has been with the franchise since entering the league. He'll go down in history as one of the top American-born player:
