WATCH: First NHL goal for Shane Wright
It was a shock at the draft when the Canadiens selected big Slovak winger Juraj Slafkovsky instead of Canadian center Shane Wright.
What was even more surprising is that the two teams that drafted afterwards also passed on him. Wright ended up in Seattle going 4th.
His NHL debut weren't that great, he was even sent down for a conditioning stint in the AHL. Tonight was his first night back and it looks like the rookie understood the assignment since he scored his first career goal in the first 20.
Wright had 1 assist in 7 games prior to this meeting with the Habs. Will he pick it up from there?
