WATCH : Troy Stecher goes into rage after Trevor Zegras made a comment about his deceased father
The Ducks were playing the Coyotes last night. We are well aware that players tend to get personal when they chirp each other. There is still a line that can never be crossed and Trevor Zegras definitely crossed it.
Trevor Zegras has made quite the reputation for himself because of his stick handling abilities, though this season he's also developed his ability to run his mouth and at some point, he might have to respond to his actions.
Things heated up and a scrum developed in the corner, near the end of the second period. Both Zegras and Troy Stecher were involved, and Zegras' comments to Stetcher made him lose it, watch :
Zegras pointed to the sky and seemed to say "he's up watching", which prompts Stecher's anger. Stecher was very close to his dad, who unfortunately passed away back in 2020. There's no need to justify Stecher's reaction.
Chirping will always be part of the game, whether we like it or not, though there are certain things that can't be said. Trevor Zegras will have to learn where that line is or he will have to learn to defend himself.
