A U.S. college goaltender has sadly passed away at 22-years-old late last week.
It's been a tough few weeks across the hockey world and unfortunately, we have another passing to share, this time from the collegiate level.
In a post on social media over the weekend, the University of Oregon Ducks announced that their goaltender, Henry Bradford, passed away unexpectedly on Friday.
"We are heartbroken to share that our Senior goaltender, Henry ''Hank'' Bradford unexpectedly passed away on Friday, September 20th 2024. Hank was an incredibly kind and thoughtful man with a contagious laugh and an amazing sense of humor. As great a goalie as he was, Hank was an even better human. He was the perfect example of treating people how you want to be treated, never missing an opportunity to call someone "sir or ma'am."
Hank, your mustache and last second splits will go down in Oregon hockey history forever. We'll miss you #1."
The University of Oregon said.
Bradford joined Oregon's program three years ago and was set to enter his senior year with the school this fall. In the last two seasons, Oregon has been in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA), where Bradford's had a record of 2-8-0, a 4.22 goals against average and an .885 save percentage in 11 games.
Everyone here at Canucks Daily would like to send our condolences to the family and friends of Henry "Hank" Bradford at this difficult time.
