LATEST | Craig Button takes massive shot at current Kraken forward and potential Canucks target
The trade market is still open for a few more weeks and lots of teams are going to be on the lookout for potential additions. The Canadian teams in Toronto, Winnipeg, Edmonton and even Vancouver are still very active trying to improve their rosters and their odds at a Stanley Cup.
CRAIG BUTTON TAKES SHOT AT A KRAKEN FORWARD
The jury is still out on the Kraken, strong off their first playoff appearance in 2023, the NHL's latest franchise has had a few struggles this year and they might ended up on the selling side of things. One forward who's been gathering interest for his experience, ability to score and his 'clutch'' factor, Jordan Eberle, has been linked to just about every Canadian market.
The idea of a contender adding the former Oilers first round pick was the topic of discussion and the TSN Analyst was absolutely disgusted by the idea:
"I'm trying to win the Stanley Cup, I'm not interested in Jordan Eberle." - @CraigJButton

CANUCKS LOOKING INTO EBERLE?
At this point, there haven't been any strong links between the Canucks and the Kraken's forward. Bound to be an unrestricted free agent by the end of the campaign, Eberle will be on Seattle's trade block with an extremely reasonable price tag if it comes to it.
Known to come up a big when the stakes are at their highest, Eberle had 63 points last year and has 30 in 53 this year. Right handed shot, smooth skater he's known to deliver during the spring dance has proven by the 11 points he had through 14 playoff meetings in 2023 (Kraken's 2nd best).
If it comes down to it and Canucks wish to add another scoring winger, Eberle might be one of the cheapest rental options out there.
