LATEST | Former Canuck gives up the NHL: Headed to Europe
It's been a long time coming, but the announcement just came through that the former Canuck Jaroslav Halak had given up on the NHL.
After an unsucessful professional try out with the Carolina Hurricanes, the netminder has decided to head back home to finish his career:A 9th round pick in 2003, Halak will have had quite the NHL career. 17 seasons and 581 regular season starts, 1 and 17 with the Canucks, he will have travelled around quite a bit spending time in Montreal, St. Louis, Buffalo, Washington, New York, Boston, Vancouver and then New York again.
The Slovak maintained an impressive 0.915% save percentage through the entirity of his NHL career.
