LATEST | Surprising top forward lands on the trade market: Unique opportunity for Allvin
Insiders have started revealing the names they've been hearing to be on the trade block. Some of these names have been heard so much that they've even begun making bets on who they thought was about to pack their bags.
The Canucks have been known to work the phones pretty heavily to improve their team in any possible way, and Patrik Allvin may have an opportunity to acquire the player that precisely fits the archetype of their needs.
A physically dominant left-handed shot winger who excels at both ends of the ice, he's been a steady point-per-game producer over the last three seasons he's had in St. Louis. Under contract at a $5.8M AAV for this year and the following season, he could very well be the player the Canucks need to swap for Ilya Mikheyev. At $4.5M, Mikheyev has been underperforming and could be the piece they require to complement their top six.
Buchnevich could slot into the Canucks' line-up for the next two years. However, Allvin will likely have to spend top assets to acquire the winger.
