The Nashville Predators have been the NHL's hottest team over the last month; now, the NHL has just issued a statement confirming how good they've been. Trouble is incoming for the Canucks.

The Predators trailed the Vegas Golden Knights by a score of 4-1 in the third period of Tuesday night's matchup but managed to claw back and win the game in overtime thanks to Roman Josi's 19th goal of the season. Nashville has now won six games in a row, having captured at least a point in an astounding 18 consecutive games. Their most recent regulation loss was on Feb. 15, a 9-2 defeat at the hands of the Dallas Stars.

As evidenced by their incredible streak, Nashville is the hottest team in the NHL. They currently hold the first wild card spot with 90 points. Unfortunately for the Canucks, they sit one point back of the Stars for first place in the Western Conference — meaning if the season were to end now, Vancouver would be facing a team that has not lost in regulation in well over a month.

They have a crucial matchup with Dallas on Thursday night as they look to clinch a spot in the postseason for the first time since 2020.
