LATEST | The Calgary Flames have officially put three defencemen on the trade block: Canucks reportedly interested
The Calgary Flames are struggling in the early part of this season. The team is 3-7-1 and has a -13 goal differential. With Calgary having such a tough start, potential trade rumours have begun.
The Flames have been exploring trade options for three high-valued defencemen: Noah Hanifin, Chris Tanev and Nikita Zadorov. These are three intriguing players since they've proven quite efficient in the past and could be very useful for teams looking at a deep playoff run.
According to Rick Dhaliwal, the Maple Leafs, Canucks, and Oilers have all shown interest in one of these defensemen.
The fans have been for the Canucks t reunited with Chris Tanev, a right-handed defenseman, something the Canucks have looked for since the start of the season. Tanev played ten seasons with the Canucks, and has remained the same steady defensive presence for the Flames.
Tanev could be a stabilizing force for the Canucks and help lift them into playoff contenders. Especially since he's on an expiring deal.
