The announcement just came through, Patrik Allvin just traded the forward Jack Studnicka to the San Jose Sharks.

The team issued the following statement confirming that they had acquired a 6th Round Pick and the Defenseman Nick Cicek:

General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the #Canucks  have acquired D Nick Cicek and a sixth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for F Jack Studnicka.
Despite having an excellent camp, Studnicka was sent down to the AHL and never found his way back to the Canucks. Through 9 games with the Abbotsford Canucks, the young centerman managed 7 points.
Cicek, an undrafted defenseman, played 16 NHL games last season during which he collected 5 assists.
