According to Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff and Travis Yost of TSN, the Calgary Flames have traded goaltender Jacob Markstrom to the New Jersey Devils.
The Devils tried to acquire Jacob Markstrom from the Calgary Flames earlier this season, ahead of the trade deadline back in March, but were unable to work out a deal and ultimately, New Jersey shifted their attention to the Montreal Canadiens and landed 2019 Stanley Cup champion Jake Allen.
Markstrom, a native of Gavle, Sweden appeared in 48 games this season for the Calgary Flames where he had a record of 23-23-2 along with a 2.78 goals against average, a .905 save percentage and two shutouts.
