Patrik Allvin has been the most active GM in the NHL thus far this season regarding seeing the end of trade discussions. He most recently closed a deal that saw Elias Lindholm leave the Calgary Flames to join the Canucks. After completing a deal of this magnitude, everybody thought the NHL's trade market would heat up, and since then, the Winnipeg Jets have acquired the centerman, Sean Monahan.
At the moment of writing these lines, four Canadian teams have strong playoffs aspiration, the league-leading Vancouver Canucks, the Edmonton Oilers, the Winnipeg Jets and the Toronto Maple Leafs. While two of these teams have already started shopping, the Leafs and the Oilers are involved in deep trade talks.
It was revealed earlier that every Canadian playoff team, including the Canucks, was highly active on the market:
We know for a fact the Canucks have the former Canuck, Chris Tanev extremely high on their list, could they be looking to add another right handed shot defenceman? If so, it probably means that Tyler Myers would be headed somewhere else?
