During a game over in Switzerland earlier this month, Frk was trying to avoid being hit by another former NHLer, Lawrence Pilut, when his skate comes up and catches Pilut up high, appearing to be intentional.
As a result of his actions, Frk has been handed a five game suspension, along with a fine of 7,660 francs, which works out to just over $11,800 Canadian.
Thankfully, Lawrence Pilut is okay after this incident, but it was absolutely a reckless move by Martin Frk, who's lucky he didn't receive a longer ban from Switzerland's National League.
