The NHL and the department of player safety will most likely be taking action against Boston Bruins defenseman and former Vancouver Canuck Nikita Zadorov after his dangerous hit on Detroit Red Wings forward Jonatan Berggren.
Over his 715 game career in the NHL, 54 of which was apart of the Vancouver Canucks organization during the 2023-2024 season, Nikita Zadorov has gained the reputation of being one of the biggest and most feared body checkers in the league.
Boston Bruins Defenseman Nikita Zadorov facing another major suspension
Zadorov is not one to shy away from hard contact and risky plays as he's already been suspended twice in his professional hockey career.
The first came back in 2015 as a member of the Buffalo Sabres when he failed to report on time back to the team following the All-Star break.
His second stint owing money to the league is when he received a 2-game suspension for his hit to the head of Detroit Red Wings star forward Lucas Raymond.
Now, he is in trouble once again for a late, dangerous and dirty hit laid on a Detroit Red Wings forward Jonatan Berggren that sent him flying into the boards.
