The Vancouver Canucks could be in the market for some depth this summer, and the team has already been linked to one gritty forward by Rick Dhaliwal.

On Thursday's episode of Donnie and Dhali, Rick Dhaliwal said that the Canucks might have interest in forward Brandon Duhaime if he his the free agent market in just over three weeks.

"Dhaliwal: Keep an eye on Duhaime and the Canucks if he hits July 1st.

@DonnieandDhali"

The Canucks have been linked to Brandon Duhaime dating back to before the trade deadline on March 8th. Duhaime was ultimately traded to the Colorado Avalanche by the Minnesota Wild in exchange for a 2026 third-round pick. Still, if he hits the open market on Canada Day, he could be an option for Patrik Allvin.

Duhaime, 27, could be a potential replacement for Dakota Joshua if he doesn't re-sign with the Canucks and becomes a free agent on July 1st. Duhaime could be a solid third or fourth-line player for the Canucks and brings plenty of bite to his game, much like Joshua. In his first three seasons in the NHL, Duhaime has 22 fights under his belt.

Duhaime has also been identified by many analysts as the power forward that could bloom into the Canucks' replacement for Dakota Joshua.

The Coral Springs, Florida native appeared in 80 games this season between the Wild and Avalanc, where he scored 13 points (five goals, eight assists), 70 penalty minutes was a minus-five. In the playoffs with Colorado, Duhaime had one goal and eight penalty minutes in 11 games.
