LATEST | Canucks GM Patrik Allvin announces roster move
The Vancouver Canucks wrapped up their road trip on Monday with a shootout loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.
As the Canucks returned to Vancouver, General Manager Patrik Allvin announced some roster moves.
Defencemen
Mark Friedman, who hasn't played since November 30th against the Vegas Golden Knights, has been assigned to the AHL on a conditioning stint.
Meanwhile, forward
Linus Karlsson has also been assigned to the American Hockey League's Abbotsford Canucks.
"General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that D Mark Friedman has been assigned to Abbotsford (AHL) for conditioning and F Linus Karlsson has been assigned to Abbotsford."
Friedman, 28, has appeared in 18 games for the Canucks this season, recording one assist, 19 penalty minutes and is a plus-four.
Karlsson, a native of Eksjo, Sweden has skated in four game for Vancouver, going pointless, and has 23 points in 25 AHL games for Abbotsford.
The Canucks will be back in action on Thursday night against the Arizona Coyotes. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET on Sportsnet Pacific.
