Calgary Flames forward Elias Lindholm is going to be a hot commodity over the next month as the trade deadline approaches, with several teams already reportedly interesting in trading for him, including the Vancouver Canucks.
The reported price for Elias Lindholm is high, as many would have expected, with the Calgary Flames wanting at least a first-round pick and prospect in return.
In a post on The Athletic on Monday, Corey Pronman and Julian McKenzie have their trade proposals for Elias Lindholm to six different teams, with the Canucks being an interesting one.
McKenzie said that in this scenario, the Calgary Flames would acquire Andrei Kuzmenko, Nils Hoglander and a 2024 first-round pick for Elias Lindholm.
With the way Lindholm has played this season, only scoring nine goals in 49 games, that may be too much to pay for someone who is a pending unrestricted free agent and they could opt to shift their attention elsewhere. While, like McKenzie said, Kuzmenko and Hoglander have been in trade rumours this season, it's more likely they would be packaged together for a bigger piece, such as Jake Guentzel of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
