The National Hockey League's holiday break is officially over as 28 clubs are in action tonight, however, the Canucks won't play until tomorrow night.

As the holiday break ends, the Vancouver Canucks sit first in the NHL standings with a record of 23-9-3 (49 points) through 35 games.
A huge reason for Vancouver's success so far this season is the play of their main guys including Quinn Hughes, Elias Pettersson, Brock Boeser, J.T. Miller and Thatcher Demko, among others.
The team is firmly in a playoff spot and as things stand, will return to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2020 and a former Vancouver Canuck, Geoff Courtnall, believes they can go deep into the postseason.
"They can go as far as they believe they can — they have all the pieces," said Courtnall. "They've got the goaltending to go far in the playoffs and you have to play physical. They keep playing like this, anything can happen."

As Courtnall says, if the team keeps playing the way they have, anything can happen. With an elite starting goaltender and multiple players on pace for career-years, along with plenty of depth, there's no doubt this Canucks team can go deep into the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Canucks will begin their push towards the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Thursday night at 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET against the Philadelphia Flyers.
