On February 2nd, Canucks forward J.T. Miller will compete against 11 other NHL skaters in the fan-voted All-Star Skills Competition. Some notable participants include Nathan MacKinnon, Connor McDavid, and Auston Matthews. Two of Miller's teammates will also compete against him — Elias Pettersson and captain Quinn Hughes.
Miller, 30, is currently tied for 4th in league scoring alongside a certain Connor McDavid with 67 points. He trails only David Pastrnak, Nathan MacKinnon, and Nikita Kucherov (all of whom will also compete in the skills competition). Despite him cementing himself as a top-tier NHL player by his continued production, it appears as though some individuals may not value J.T. Miller as much as others.
During the DFO Podcast, Frank Seravalli reported that an unidentified «someone» had referred to the competition's participants as «11 of the best players in the world and J.T. Miller»:
Seravalli on the skills competition:
As someone referred it to me, they said it's 11 of the best players in the world and JT Miller.
