The Vancouver Canucks may be on a bye week ahead of the 2024 NHL All-Star festivities, but that doesn't mean General Manager Patrik Allvin will stop working.

On Tuesday, Allvin announced that the team have assigned forward Linus Karlsson to the American Hockey League's Abbotsford Canucks.

"General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that F Linus Karlsson has been assigned to Abbotsford (AHL)." The Canucks said in a post on X.

Karlsson, 24, has been up and down between the Canucks and Abbotsford this season, but has only managed to get into four games at the NHL level, where he's gone pointless.

The Eksjo, Sweden native is having a great campaign in the American Hockey League, putting up 25 points (nine goals, 16 assists), along with 12 penalty minutes and is a plus-eight.

The Vancouver Canucks will be back in action following the All-Star Break, taking on the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday, February 6th to kick-off a five-game road trip.
