Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin just celebrated two years with the club this week, and has been rewarded with a multi-year contract extension as a result of his hard work. The team holds a 33-11-5 record going into the All-Star break, which puts them in a tie with the Boston Bruins for first place in the NHL.
Allvin has made a total of 19 trades since beginning his tenure with Vancouver — his first an as NHL general manager. He has managed to establish a winning culture, led by a plethora of young players who have cemented themselves as stars amongst the league. He will look to propel the Canucks towards their a playoff berth as they search for their first-ever Stanley Cup championship.
