It caused a shock around the Hockey world when the news broke that Nikita Zadorov had formally put in his trade request out of Calgary.

Two sources have now confirmed that the Canucks have shown their interest in the big and physical Defenseman:

The trade proposals have started making their way onto social medias, a known figure on the Canucks Twitter feed suggested the following trade. He suggested that the Flames send Zadorov to the Canucks for Anthony Beauvilier and one of Mark Friedman or Christian Wolanin:
''I think Beauvillier straight up ought to be enough to land Zadorov but if CGY wanted a D back as well they could do a Friedman or Wolanin as a toss in. #Canucks''
Friedman has proven to be quite the find for the Canucks and trading him might not be in the Canucks' best interest, but Wolanin would be a piece I'd be willing to move out to upgrade the team's D.
