MAJOR | Former Canuck back into professional hockey at fifty-one year old
There's an old saying that says you can take the guy out of Hockey, but you can't take the Hockey out of a guy. Some players' passion never fades, and they keep on playing.
FORMER CANUCK BACK INTO PRO HOCKEY AT 51
The former Canucks Donald Brashear inked a new contract with the Jonquière Marquis in the LNAH out of Quebec. Now 51, the Canucks former enforcer still has gas in the tank, and he's avid to prove it.
A veteran of six seasons with the Canucks, Brashear has over 1000 NHL games under his belt. He'll join the Jonquière-based team, which notably aligns players such as Alexandre Picard and Philippe Paradis, both former first-rounders.
Brashear stayed in excellent shape through the years; he lined up with the Wendake Black Jack, where he collected 31 points in 35 games across the last three seasons.
