Vancouver Canucks Fans Turn on Quinn Hughes After His Unexpected Choice to Not Play

The Vancouver Canucks season just keeps getting worse and worse, captain Quinn Hughes opted not to dress in last night's game against the Carolina Hurricanes, Adam Foote said he did not feel right, but most fans are convinced he is completely checked out so early in the season.
The Canucks dropped the game in overtime, where Andrei Svechnikov scored two goals and an assist in the Hurricanes win.

It has been recently discussed on Canucks Daily that the best option for the Canucks is most likely to trade Hughes now while a team can still get a year out of him before he hits free agency. The more the season goes on, the more it appears he will not be re-signing with the Canucks, and being arguably the second best defensemen in the NHL, the Canucks can get a lot back for him.
He hasn't been performing well at all this season, most likely due to his lack of motivation, and the Canucks need to maximize his value. Fans feel the same way and are now mocking Foote on X for being so passive and laissez-faire with the captain. Hughes should be the one leading his team during these tough times, but it appears he doesn't want to take that on anymore.
