MAJOR | NHL makes an announcement on the Canucks
The Canucks have been the most successful we've seen in Vancouver in the last few years. Ever since Rick Tocchet inserted his systems and values into the Canucks' core and they've been the best Canucks we've witnessed in ages.
RECENT SUCCESS HAS THE TEAM AT THE LEAGUE'S TOP
The Canucks had been very good in the first 20 games this year, but they've been stepping it up after a very successful five-home game kicked up their momentum, which now places them at the league's top rank.
The NHL issued a statement that acknowledges the Canucks' dominance and just how good they've been compared to previous Canucks' edition:
'This is the latest into a season that the #Canucks are 1st overall in the NHL standings since winning the Presidents' Trophy in 2011-12''
The Canucks collected a lone point during their O.T. Loss in Dallas, but it was enough to get them the point they needed to tie the Golden Knights at the top. With one more regulation win, the Canucks then own the league's first rank.
